I never know where a painting will come from.
It may be a stack of green peppers in the grocery store or two ladies in deep conversation sitting at the table next to me in a restaurant or sunlight shinning on a piece of fabric.
I call these sudden insights "my little gems of inspirations".
They can become paintings themselves or they can jog memories of places, persons, things, and even experiences that I have forgotten.
These little gems are very exciting because they can be the beginnings from which a painting will evolve. I would like the viewer to have this same experience when viewing my paintings and perhaps find in them something that they can recognize and relate to in a personal way.
